Shani Sadhesati & Dhaiya Shanti Puja

Why is this Puja Necessary?

In Vedic astrology, Lord Saturn (Shanidev) is revered as the 'Lord of Karma' and the dispenser of justice. When an individual undergoes the operational period of Saturn's Sadhesati (the seven-and-a-half-year cycle) or Dhaiya (the two-and-a-half-year cycle), or when Shanidev is adversely placed in the horoscope, it often brings immense struggles, unwarranted defamation, sudden financial losses, severe health setbacks, and profound mental unrest. According to ancient scriptures, performing Shani Shanti Puja, especially with the traditional 'Telabhishek' (ritualistic anointing with mustard oil), pleases Shanidev. This acts as a protective shield, mitigating malevolent effects and restoring stability, mental peace, and prosperity to the devotee's life.

Key Ritual Procedure:

Swasti Vachan & Sankalp: Formal Vedic pledge invoking divine grace for the individual’s Saturn-related obstacle clearance, relief from suffering, and familial peace.

Lord Ganesha & Navagraha Pujan: Invocation of Lord Ganesha and planetary deities to ensure an obstacle-free ritual and invoke overall harmony.

Shani Dev Invocation: Calling upon Lord Saturn onto an iron idol, stone form, or consecrated Yantra using black sesame seeds, barley, and flowers.

Ritualistic Telabhishek (Oil Anointing): Chanting of specific Vedic Shani Mantras by verified Acharyas while offering a continuous stream of pure mustard oil mixed with black til and durva grass.

Shani Japa & Deep Daan: Chanting of Shani’s Vedic or Bija mantras a specific number of times, followed by lighting a special mustard oil lamp.
